Vivian Ng Wing Wei

Senior Clinical Psychologist (M. Clin. Psych, HELP University)

Vivian strongly believes that change starts from within. She is part of the team in Mentem Psychological Services to assist clients to fulfil their potential by combating their stress, depression, and anxiety.  She is a dedicated clinical psychologist who works with children, adolescents and young adults. Vivian is also a level 2 trained Gottman couple therapist. She works with couples who struggle with their marriage- guiding them across the chasm that divides them.


Vivian obtained her Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from the University of Nottingham. Upon graduation, she worked with an NGO as a social worker for a year. During her work with the NGO, she learned that she has to enhance her knowledge and skills further in order to help the community to improve their well-being. 


She then pursued Master of Clinical Psychology at HELP University. During her master programme, she interned with the university-based psychology clinic (CPCS) and with a special needs centre at Damansara Heights. She has experince working with children with Autism, ADHD and Dyslexia. 


After completed her training in special needs centre, she had clinical placement at Hospital Kajang and Hospital Selayang which allowed her working with clients who have anxiety, depression and social phobia. In addition, she also took part in facilitating the pain management programme "MENANG" (a pioneer programme) in Hospital Selayang. 


Upon graduation, , from February 2017 to January 2020, she served as the head of wellness department in an NGO, Dignity for Children Foundation which provides holistic education for underprivileged children. Working closely with her team, they aim to promote the well-being and to assist the underprivileged children to overcome their emotional difficulties. Through working with children and their families, she realises that happy couple tends to raise happy children, and vice versa. This sparked her interest to work with couples, guiding them across the chasm that divides them. At the moment, she works with young adults and couples on their personal struggles in Mentem Psychological Services. Her approach includes .
